What if I have really sensitive skin? No problem! You can always make an appointment for a consultation and a patch test can be done so you can see how your skin reacts. This is absolutely free of charge.
Why would I get an Express tan? If you have a last minute event and need a quick boost of color, or if you do not like to sleep in your tan while it sets this is a good option for you.
How long will my tan last? When your sunless tan is cared for and following PRE AND POST spray instructions, it can typically last up to 5-8 days. *When using a tan extender, clients notice their tan will "keep" longer.
What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations made up to 24 hours in advance will result in NO fee. Anything under 24 hours there will be a $50 fee charged. We thank you for your cooperation and respect. Please call the salon 617-982-6622 if you are running behind or the day prior if you need to reschedule. If you are doing an in home please email or call me directly.
What do I wear to my appointment? You can be sprayed in nothing at all, in a bathing suit, shorts and bra, whatever you feel most comfortable in (gentlemen, are required to wear shorts.) Wear or bring dark, loose fitting pants and tee shirt for after you are tanned and flip flops. Please do not put tight jeans, leggings or a bra on after you've been tanned, it will compromise your fresh tan.
Should I tip? Tipping is a great way to show that you've had a great experience.
How long will this take? Approximately 20 minutes start to finish. In home can take a little longer due to load in, set up and clean up. Please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment and please call if you are running late.
Anything I need to avoid right after my appointment? After your appointment avoid putting your handbag over your shoulder or in the crease of your arm and be mindful of your seatbelt against your new tan. Schedule haircuts, hair color, waxing, manicure, electrolysis, pedicure the days before your tan to again avoid any water or products compromising your tan. Avoid excessive sweating, crying, inclement weather, water in general and massages until your first shower.
If I am taking medication will this affect my tan? There are many factors that can affect how a tan will set or take to your skin. Some of which (and are not limited to) hormones, medications, peels, retin-A, etc.
Can I get sprayed if I'm pregnant? Airbrush tanning is considered safe, but it is always best to consult with your doctor first. All pregnant clients are recommended to wear nose plugs.
What if I just got a facial, peel, electrolysis or have sunburn? Can I still get my tan? I highly recommend getting a facial at least a day before your tan, peels and electrolysis a week before your tanning appointment (so your skin calms down and heals) and I do NOT recommend getting a spray tan over a sunburn. If you are unsure about any of these please reach out (contact page) so I can better assist you.
